WeNaTour Sustainable Tourism Course: Welfare, Nature and Innovation in Tourism
The WeNaTour E-learning Course is designed to provide fundamental knowledge and practical tools to innovate in sustainable tourism. The course will be hosted by the Moodle platform of the University of Padova and will include: Video lessons, assigned reading materials, quizzes & activities.

EU Specialisation Programme for Sustainability Managers for Tourism Destinations
The EU Specialization Programme is designed for MSc & PhD students, researchers, and professionals in the field. Access is granted through the e-learning course, with top participants receiving mobility grants for a 28-day intensive program in Italy and Austria.
- Blended mode: online lessons + 2 weeks hands-on experience between Austria and Italy
- This course is open for 20 top students from the E-learning Course (scholarship included) and 10 additional students (self-funded).
- Online specialisation lectures + Mobility experience in partnership (1 week in Italy + 1 week in Austria) hosted by two tourism destinations Valsugana Lagorai and Nassfeld Lesachtal Weissensee

Programme
The Specialization Programme consists of two key phases:
- Online Specialisation Course: Delivered by the University of Padua (UNIPD) and Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS), this module provides advanced theoretical and practical knowledge on sustainable tourism management, governance, socio-economic and environmental impacts, and innovative solutions.
- Mobility Experience: Top-performing students from the online course will be selected for a two-week intensive training programme in Italy and Austria. Participants will engage in hands-on learning, field visits, and real-world case studies, hosted by two certified sustainable tourism destinations:
- Valsugana Lagorai, Italy
- Nassfeld Lesachtal Weissensee, Austria
Entry criteria
The programme offers 30 spots, including 20 scholarships covering mobility costs and 10 additional self-financed learners who can join by covering their own travel and accommodation expenses. Access to the Specialisation Programme is granted based on performance in the WeNaTour E-learning Course. The 20 best participants will be invited to continue with the mobility experience.

The content is carefully selected and adapted from the WeNaTour E-learning Course, ensuring alignment with the latest insights and best practices in sustainable destination management, stakeholder engagement, and innovative tourism solutions.
Through this initiative, the WeNaTour VET Courses aim to bridge the gap between education and employment, fostering a new generation of tourism professionals committed to sustainability and responsible destination management.
